Building Your First Developer Portfolio While in University

The biggest myth is that portfolios need to be polished from day one. They do not.

Start with one course project and improve it in public: write a short README, add screenshots, and explain your technical choices.

Then add one small personal tool solving a real student problem. Recruiters and mentors value clarity, ownership, and iteration.
